Not medical advice

Hearing Aids Index is a research and comparison site. Nothing on it is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for an exam by a doctor, audiologist or licensed hearing-aid specialist. The Fit Check summarizes the FDA's guidance as a reading checklist; it does not collect your answers or assess your hearing. Sudden hearing loss needs immediate medical attention. For ear pain or drainage, dizziness, or hearing that is much worse in one ear, see a doctor before buying a hearing aid.

Cost to Try figures are scenarios

Cost to Try figures are calculated from each maker's published return terms on the date shown. They are scenarios, not quotes, and not a promise of what any maker will charge or refund. A maker can change its prices and policies at any time, and its own terms at the time you buy are the ones that apply. Where a fee is not published, we say so instead of guessing.

Facts are dated

Prices, return terms, warranties and complaint records are shown with the date we checked them. They may have changed since. Check the maker's own page before you buy. If you find a figure that is out of date, please tell us.

We do not sell hearing aids

We do not sell, fit, ship, repair or accept returns of any product. Orders, returns, refunds and warranty claims are between you and the maker or seller. Links to makers' sites are provided for convenience; some may earn us a commission, as explained on our How we make money page.

Use of this site

You may read, print and share pages from this site for personal, non-commercial use, with a link back to the page. Please do not copy the site's content, model data or design in bulk, or present it as your own. Brand and product names belong to their owners and are used here only to identify the products being compared.

No warranty

We work hard to keep every figure accurate and dated, and we correct errors when we find them. Even so, the site is provided as is, without any guarantee that every figure is complete or current at the moment you read it. To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for decisions made on the basis of this site.

We may update these terms. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
