The Hearing Aids Index

How we make money

Some hearing-aid brands may pay Hearing Aids Index a commission when a reader buys through a link on this site. We do not add a fee to your purchase; the seller sets the price. Commission availability must not determine our recommendations or their order.

How it works

An affiliate program is an arrangement where a brand pays a publisher a commission when a reader clicks the publisher's link and then buys. The brand pays the commission; we do not add a fee to your purchase. The seller sets the checkout price and may offer different promotions or bundles, so compare the final total and terms before paying.

Which programs may pay us

These are the programs that cover brands on this site. A program is shown as active only once the brand has approved us and our links have switched over. Until then, our purchase links are ordinary links to the brand's own product pages and earn nothing.

  • Ordinary link. Goes straight to the maker's official product page. No commission.
  • Sponsored link. Goes to an address the brand's program issued to us. It is marked as sponsored in the page code, and a short note beside the purchase link says we may earn a commission.

We link directly to the brand's destination. We do not hide links behind redirect pages on our own domain.

What a commission can and cannot change

A commission can pay for the time it takes to check prices and policies and keep this site free to read.

A commission must not determine our recommendations, the order of recommended models, our account of prices and policies, or whether material limitations are disclosed. The Fit Check is a reading checklist, not a personalized recommendation engine. Models from brands that pay us nothing stay on the page when they suit you. Our editorial policy sets out these rules in full, and our methodology explains the evidence behind our comparisons and the limits of our research.

Why we are telling you this

You should know who benefits when you click. This page is written for you first. It is also our disclosure under the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements, which asks publishers to disclose any financial relationship with the brands they write about, clearly and close to the link.
